What You Need to Consider with Inflatable Pools

Even though you have an http://www.yginflatable.com(inflatable pool) , you still have to practise pool safety, especially if it is used by young children. Any body of water is dangerous so you need to ensure that children are supervised at all times by an adult. Just like any pool, you need to make sure that the water is clean and safe for swimmers. Larger pools come with filtration pumps to clean the water. This means that they can be subject to government or building regulations so it is a good idea to check with your local council. Larger pools may also need a safety barrier or fence. If in doubt, check!

Buying Pearl Jewelry Without Being Ripped Off

Buying http://www.lpearls.com(pearl jewelry) can be fun, exciting and confusing. Whether you're considering a gift of pearl jewelry for someone special or as a treat for yourself, take some time to learn the terms used in the industry. Here's some information to help you get the best quality pearl jewelry for your money, whether you're shopping in a traditional brick and mortar store or online.

Pearls

Natural or real pearls are made by oysters and other mollusks. http://www.lpearls.com(Cultured pearls) also are grown by mollusks, but with human intervention; that is, an irritant introduced into the shells causes a pearl to grow. Imitation pearls are man-made with glass, plastic, or organic materials.

Because http://www.lpearls.com(natural pearls) are very rare, most pearls used in jewelry are either cultured or imitation pearls. Cultured pearls, because they are made by oysters or mollusks, usually are more expensive than imitation pears. A cultured pearl's value is largely based on its size, usually stated in millimeters, and the quality of its nacre coating, which give it luster. Jewelers should tell your if the pearls are cultured or imitation. Some black, bronze, gold, purple, blue and orange pearls, whether natural or cultured, occur that way in nature; some, however, are dyed through various processes. Jewelers should tell you whether the colored pearls are naturally colored, dyed or irradiated.

Clams, oysters, mussels and many other mollusks with limy shells are known to produce pearls. But very few kinds yield gem pearls of jeweler's quality. The pearl is an abnormal growth of mother-of-pearl, or nacre, imbedded in the soft bodies of these shellfish. It is built up, layer upon layer, in the same way as nacre is added to the lining of the growing shell and always has the same color and luster. For example, over the country, hundreds of good-sized pearls are found each year in the oysters we eat. Unfortunately these have no commercial value regardless of whether they have been cooked or not because they are dull opaque white or purple like the shell of the parent oyster. In recent times almost all pearls of gem quality come from the oriental pearl oyster which has a bright shimmering translucent nacre.

A pearl starts growing when some irritating foreign substance such as a sand grain, bit of mud, parasite or other object becomes lodged in the shell-producing gland called the mantle. Pearls formed in the soft flesh where nacre can be added on all sides are most likely to be spherical and the most highly prized. By far the great majority are flattened or variously distorted and have little value. Size, color, luster and freedom from flaws are other essential qualities. Unlike other gems, such as diamonds, pearls have an average life of only about 50 years. In time the small amount of water in a pearl's make-up is lost and its surface cracks. Because they are mostly lime, necklaces which are worn often are injured by the acid secretions of the human skin.

If you tweet about openings you're looking for

Dear Annie: I enjoyed your Sept. 30 column, and readers' comments, about how to decide whom to "friend" on Facebook. I recently joined LinkedIn, which I have heard is a terrific job-search tool, but I could really use some pointers on how to make the most of it. (I lost my old job about six weeks ago and, while my severance pay will last another couple of months, I need to step up http://www.wholesale-pearl-jewelry.com(pearl jewelry) my job hunt.)

Should I connect with everyone who contacts me, or limit my LinkedIn connections to only those people in pearl jewelry my field, which is finance, or my industry? Also, how important are recommendations? --Newbie in New Jersey

Dear Newbie: With about 48 million members now, LinkedIn offers a virtually limitless amount of potential for people who know how to use it.

But while LinkedIn is a great site for advancing your career, other social networking sites can be useful as well, say Brad and Debra Schepp, husband-and-wife authors of "How to Find a Job on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and Other Social Networks" (McGraw-Hill, $18.95).

Consider Facebook: Even though it's designed mainly for keeping up with personal friends, you may not realize that
http://www.wholesale-pearl-jewelry.com(wholesale pearl jewelry) it features lots of business-related groups.

"If you're looking for a job, group discussion boards are probably where you will want to spend much of biwa pearl your time," the authors write. Searching out and joining groups can give you the inside track on job openings, inform you of upcoming professional meetings and conferences, and introduce you to people who can share what it's really like to work for a particular employer -- all highly useful stuff.

As for Twitter, the authors admit they were skeptical at first -- "I equated it in my mind with 'fritter,'" says Brad Schepp -- but they've come to believe it can be a great job-search tool. Start by following companies and executives in your industry, then work on building a following of your own. Avoid tweeting about what you had for akoya pearl dinner; instead focus on, say, an interesting story in a professional journal, your latest accomplishment at work, or -- yes -- what kind of job opportunity you're seeking (ideally without sounding desperate).

Less than an hour before the open, S&P 500, Nasdaq-100 and Dow Jones industrial average futures were higher.

Futures measure current index http://wwww.lpearls.com(freshwater pearl) values against their perceived future performance and offer an indication of how markets may open when trading begins.

Wall Street ended a volatile day mixed on Tuesday as investors digested rising commodity prices and Warren Buffett's buyout of railroad Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNI, Fortune 500).

But positive market momentum appeared as investors were encouraged by several Republicans victories, including the governor races in both New Jersey and Virginia.

More broadly, the wins reflect a pearl jewelry sharp rebuke by Americans of current policies in Washington, including massive spending programs that have helped grow the federal deficit.

"The election results suggest that
http://wwww.lpearls.com(freshwater pearl jewelry) perhaps the referendum of the Democratic Party, more specifically President Obama, is being challenged in the marketplace," said Mark Luschini, chief investment strategist at Janney Montgomery Scott.

Fed: Still, much of Wednesday's focus was on the biwa pearl outcome of the Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting, set to conclude Wednesday afternoon.

"Any threat of [liquidity] being taken away sooner than the nascent recovery can weather would be disconcerting for the market," said Luschini.

How big should your network be

Meanwhile, you're right that it's worth taking time to make your LinkedIn profile shine. "Recruiters prowl LinkedIn and do searches," notes Brad Schepp. "If your profile is complete and shows you in your best light, they'll contact you."

Recommendations are http://www.iepearl.com(pearl jewelry) important -- you need three to make your profile complete. These should be as recent as possible, so ask your former bosses and colleagues (or clients) before they forget the details.

LinkedIn provides a standard form for pearl jewelry requesting these endorsements, but the authors suggest customizing it to each recipient. Suggest a couple of "talking points": It makes your reference's task easier, and makes it more likely to catch the eye of a hiring manager looking for your skills.

Because recruiters often search LinkedIn by keyword (as they do the big job boards), make sure your profile includes important keywords for your field and industry. But it's not just about keywords: Describe your experience with pizzazz, explaining not just what you did and when, but also how you did it and
http://www.iepearl.com(pearl jewelry wholesale) what you learned. As one hiring manager told the Schepps, "If I'm reviewing a biwa pearl profile and don't find it compelling, I will not take it any further." And doublecheck the text to prevent typos and punctuation mistakes.

As for your photo, it should be clear, well-lit, and show you looking upbeat, if not smiling. It needn't be overly formal.

How big should your network be? Some users try to amass as many contacts as possible, but LinkedIn advises you only accept contacts who you know and are in some way "invested in your future," says Krista Canfield, a LinkedIn manager.

"Look at LinkedIn as if it were a
http://www.iepearl.com(wholesale pearl earrings) akoya pearl business lunch," suggests Canfield. You wouldn't stand up in a crowded restaurant and announce your career goals to strangers; conduct your LinkedIn life accordingly, she says, adding: "Don't forget your manners."

And don't get discouraged if it takes

LinkedIn can also be a useful source of job-market intelligence. The "Companies" tab at the top of the page shows who has been hired recently, and where they came from, explain Brad and Debra Schepp.

"Knowing who's come on board http://www.cnwpearl.com(pearl jewelry) lately gives you a good idea of what the company is seeking, so you can see how your credentials and experience might measure up," says Brad. "And knowing where that person came from is pearl jewelry useful too. Maybe their old job is open now."

Even if you're not actively job hunting, you'd be
http://www.cnwpearl.com(pearl jewelry wholesale) smart to put some time into social networking -- just in case, says Debra: "You have to dig the well before you're thirsty."

Also be sure to give as much as you get, she says. When you ask someone for an answer to a biwa pearl professional question, a contact, or a recommendation, always ask what you can do for him or her. "It sounds corny, but everyone we have met who got a job through LinkedIn has said they live by the phrase 'Pay it forward,' " she says.

And don't get discouraged if it takes a while to find a new job, even if you're using every available online social network to its fullest. "Social networks are fantastic resources, but they aren't magic job machines," says Deb Schepp. "Job hunting ranks right up there with a root canal for many of us, and some aspects of akoya pearl it will never be easy." Too true.
